The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, September 23, 1940

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the 
Matherton Methodist church for Mrs. Anna M. Helms, who died in the Ionia 
Community hospital Wednesday afternoon.  Prayer services were held from the 
home in Matherton at 2 o’clock.  Rev. F. G. Dunbar officiated, and interment 
was held at the East Plains cemetery.

Musical selections were given by Mrs. Henry Tabor and Mrs. Myrtle Reed.  
Bearers were Donald Tyler, Mark Tyler, Thomas Jefferies, Warren Rock, Harvey 
Loverin and Louis Wood.

Attending the services from out of town were Mrs. Mary Pung, Mr. and Mrs. 
Nicholas Pasche, Charles Russman, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Leik, Louis Pung, Mr. and 
Mrs. Frank Helms, and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Neering of Portland, Mr. and Mrs. 
Matt Pasche, Charles Pasche, Kenneth Pasche, Mr. and Mrs. John Esch, Mrs. 
Ronald Rulger of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Helms, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Helms 
of Belding and Mr. and Mrs. William Pierson of Stanton, Mrs. Della DeBois and 
Miss Lois DeBois of Perrington.
