Mrs. William Byers was called to Ionia Sunday by the sudden death of her 
father, William Helms.  Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage.  He was 
64 years old, was born in Montcalm county and had lived in and near Ionia for 
many years.  He leaves four daughters, three sons and five grandchildren, a 
stepbrother and a half sister.  Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 o’clock 
at Stone-Kauffman Funeral Home.
