Ionia Daily Sentinel, 8 & 11 Nov 1960

Joyce Pauline Helms, 12-years old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Helms, 
died late Monday evening at her home on route two.  She was born October 12, 
1948 in Ionia.  She previously lived in Orleans township, five years in 
Sheridan and since 1955 has resided on Ionia route two.

Surviving besides her parents are two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Maxine) Stearns of 
Brighton, and Mrs. Charles (Marie) Wagner of route two, Sheridan; two brothers, 
Robert of route two, and Lawrence at home, and her maternal grandfather, 
Charles Weiler of Belding.  Funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 2 
p.m. at Stone-Kauffman funeral home.  Burial will be at Balcom cemetery.  The 
family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 until 9 p.m.

Funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Stone-Kauffman funeral home 
for Joyce Pauline Helms, 12, who died late Monday afternoon following a long 
illness.  The Rev. Ray R. Fassett, pastor of Zion Evangelical United Brethren 
church, officiated and interment was at Balcom cemetery.  Bearers were Leo 
Pearson, Dale Sinclair, Donald McQueens, Max Morris, Donald Marshall and 
Stanley Robinson.

Belding;
