Daniel J. Hendershot, 20, of Portland died May 1, 1996 in Lansing.  He was born
December 25, 1975 in Grand Rapids, the son of Daniel and Kathleen (Grasiewicz)
Hendershot.  He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and was a student
at Grand Rapids Community College.

He is survived by his parents, Daniel G. and Kathleen Hendershot, of Portland;
brother Michael Hendershot, at home; sister Aimee Hendershot and her fiancé
Andrew Goodman, of East Lansing; grandparents, Walter and Betty Wysocki, of
Grand Rapids and Carl and Mary Ann Hendershot, of Portland; nephew Alexander
Goodman, of East Lansing; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church,
140 Church Street in Portland with Fr. Julian Reginato officiating.  The Right
of Committal will be in Portland Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the
Gorsline-Runciman Co., Neller Chapel in Portland today from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and
Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.  The Scripture rosary
will be recited Friday at 8 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the
Leukemia Society of America, Michigan Chapter.
