Mrs. Ruth E. Henderson, 95, of Easton Township passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2002.

She was born Nov. 18, 1906 in Toronto, Canada, the daughter of Jessie and Ida 
May (Spinney) Bennett.  She came to the United States at age 5, settling in 
Massachusetts.  She was married to Arthur Henderson in 1924 in Massachusetts, 
moving to Portsmouth, N.H., where they spent most of their married life.  Mr. 
Henderson preceded her in death in 1970.  She has lived in Ionia since 1970 
with her daughter Sybil Laird.

 Surviving Mrs. Henderson are four daughters:  Mrs. Odis (Dorothy) Jones of 
Chittenango, N.Y., Mrs. Jerrold (Nancy) Satterlee of Ionia, Mrs. John (Sybil) 
Laird of Ionia and Mrs. Vincent (Sandra) Rosso of Lake Odessa; one son, Arthur 
(Blanche) Henderson of Greenland, N.H.; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-
grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Archie (Dorothy) Witham, New Market, N.H.; and 
several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth E. Henderson will be 2 p.m., Monday at the Lake 
Funeral Home in Ionia with Rev. William Belko officiating.  Final interment 
will be in Portsmouth, N.H.  Anyone wishing may make a memorial contribution to 
Heartland Health Care.  Envelopes available at the funeral home.
