Lake Odessa Wave, 4 Jun 1943

Archie Henderson, 82, a highly respected citizen of Odessa township, died early
Tuesday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gottlob Balduf in East Lansing. 
Several months ago, Mr. Henderson fell at his farm home on M66 northeast of Lake
Odessa and broke his hip.  He was taken to St. Lawrence hospital in Lansing and
later removed to the Balduf home.  He later contracted pneumonia which caused
his death.

He was born in Easton township but had lived most of his life on his farm in
Odessa.  When a young man he was married to Miss Emma Fell of Sebewa who died
shortly after their marriage.  He had been a staunch Republican practically all
his life.

Surviving are two sisters Miss Mary who has resided with him most of his life
and Mrs. Isabelle Hiller in Lake Odessa and other relatives.

The funeral was held at the Wortley & Baine chapel this afternoon with the Rev.
Donald J. Holbrook officiating, and burial was in Lakeside cemetery.
