Ionia Daily Sentinel, 6 May 1912

John Henderson, sr., died at his home in Lansing last Wednesday morning after a
long illness.  Interment in Lyons cemetery Friday.  He leaves a widow, three
sons, Mat, Walter and John and two sisters besides many friends.  His home has
been in Lyons for many years until two years ago when they moved to Lansing. 
For thirteen years he was head miller for J. Hale and sons here and was a member
of the M.E. choir for five years.  He was a kind and loving father and husband
and much esteemed by all who knew him.
