The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Saturday, January 24, 1880
The sudden death of Wm. Henderson last Sunday, at the residence of Tim Beemis, 
in Easton, has given cause for suspicion of foul play, and some thirty or 
forty farmers of that vicinity sent a petition to this city yesterday 
requesting that a coroner and physician be sent to the premises, the body 
examined and an inquest held.  Accordingly, Owen P. Johnson and Drs. Allen and 
Long leave this morning for that purpose.  The result of the inquest will be 
announced as soon as learned.
