Old Ionia County Early Resident
Archie Henderson, an old resident of Ionia county and for the last fifteen years
of Odessa township died Dec. 4 at the home of his niece, Mrs. Mary Henderson,
where he made his home for some time.  The funeral took place at the house and
burial was at Saranac.  Rev. Rennels of Ionia preached the sermon.

Obituary
Archie Henderson was born in Jedburg, Roxbouroughshire, Scotland, on March 14,
1829 and died at the home of his niece, Mary Henderson, in Odessa township Dec.
4th, 1918, aged 89 years, 8 months and 18 days.

He came to America in 1853 locating in the state of New York.  In 1855 he came
to Battle Creek and shortly afterward to Ionia county where he has resided ever
since.  He was the youngest and last of a family of eight children, three dying
in Scotland and five in Ionia county.

The funeral was from the house on Saturday, Dec. 7, and burial was at Saranac.
