Her condition had been serious for over a week. She was born in Sweden and came to the United States at the age of 15, crossing the Atlantic alone. She came to Grand Rapids but later went to Chicago, where at the age of 24 was married. Her husband, Harry Hendrickson, Sr., was a railroad inspector for the Illinois Central railway, they living in Chicago until 20 years ago when they came to Ionia County and purchased the farm on M-21 belonging then to A. S. Bacon. She was of the Swedish Lutheran faith but after coming here was associated with the Muir Presbyterian church. She was a member of the Maccabee lodge, Ionia, and of the Pythian Sisters, of Chicago. Her family surviving consists of her husband; daughters, Mrs. William Steele, Florence and Hildegarde Hendrickson, a son, Harry Hendrickson, all at home. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Peter Erickson, Jefferson Street, Ionia, and a brother Anthony Anderson of Canada. Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Willard K. Spencer at the home west of Muir Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.
