She had been ill with pneumonia, but death was caused by a stroke of apoplexy. Mrs. Hendricks’ maiden name was Riker and she was a daughter of Samuel Riker, of Orange. She was born in Washtenaw county March 14, 1842, and moved to Lowell when a young girl. In 1869 she was married to George Hendricks, who died in 1888. Mrs. Hendricks is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lola Phillips, of Berlin township, a sister, Mrs. Rose Burhans and one brother, L. D. Riker, of North Plains. Another brother, P. H. Riker, of Orange, died three weeks ago. There are two surviving grandchildren, Mrs. Johnson, of Ionia, and Joe Cook, of Hamburg, Mich. Funeral services were held today at 1:00 o’clock at the home of Frank Phillips, on the Bellevue road, where death took place, and the remains will be taken to Belding for burial.
