Hengesbach, 80, of 13599 Jason Road, Portland died Monday at her residence. She was born May 11, 1911, in Westphalia, the daughter of Albert and Helen Klein Fedewa. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church of Westphalia and The Christian Mothers. She is survived by seven sons; Charles, Albin, Donald, Mark, Anthony, and James of Westphalia, and Paul of Eagle; one daughter, Marie Schafer of Eagle; 47 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Norman and Charles of Westphalia and Harold of Portland; four sisters; Laura Hengesbach and Dora Pung of Westphalia, Helen Pung of Portland, and Marie Thelen of Fowler. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony, her daughter Evelyn Smith, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. both Tuesday and Wednesday at St. Mary’s Chapel in Westphalia. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday from St. Mary’s Church, Westphalia, with the Rev. James Novak and the Rev. Julius Hengesbach officiating. Pallbearers will be Chad, Gary, Steven, Randy, Patrick, Douglas, and Michael Smith, and Duane Schafer.
