Excerpts from Saranac Obituary

SHEILA MARIE HENION

Died June 7, 2026-age 76 of Hasting's.
She was the third chid born to Clarence & Vivian (Fishell) Lake.
Married her 1st husband Herbert Whorley in April of 1966. 
Together they had four children, Jaye (Sandy) Whorley of Saranac, Joseph Whorley 
of Saranac, Diana Whorley of Saranac & Angelia Ingram of Lowell.
After that marriage ended she married Donald Henion in 2002.
Sheila enjoyed various crafts, from crocheting to diamond art to sewing. 
She enjoyed watching & cheering both the Detroit Tigers & Detroit Lions.
She also loved bowling many years in leagues in Lowell & Ionia.
She traveled t state national women's bowling tournaments around the country.
Her 2 daughters shared her enjoyment in bowling.
She attended her grandchildren's sporting events, & enjoyed all of their 
accomplishments.
Survived by her second husband, Don Henion & his 4 children, & 10 grandchildren, 
Kyle, Rachael, Desiree, Rya, Grant, Lean (Matt), Jayden, Amelia, Callie (Hunter) 
& Savin, 5 great-grandchildren, Kolt, Ellinore, Reese, Norah & Quinn.
Preceded in death by her parents, her brother Arden Lake, Sisters Darlene Eaves 
& Sharon Lake, her son-in-law Benjamin Ingram & her 1st husband.
Celebration of Sheila's life will take place at 4PM on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 
Galilee Baptist Church in Saranac.
Visitation will take place from 5pm to 7 pm on Thursday, June 11, 2026 also at 
Galilee Baptist Church.
Memorial contributions may be made  to Pink Arrow Project.
