The Hastings, Reminder, May 31, 2014


Heather M. Henney (Mitchell), age 37, of Lake Odessa passed unexpectedly on 
May, 26, 2014.  She was born on February, 12, 1977 to Brent and Pam (Patrick) 
Mitchell in Ionia, MI. 

Heather was a 1995 graduate of Lakewood High School where she was on the second 
place team in the Class B Volleyball State Championship; she received a 
scholarship to MSU in Volleyball.  After one year she transferred to Central 
Michigan University to play Volleyball with her sister Jennifer, then earning 
her LPN from KCC.  Heather was employed at Magnum Care in Hastings. Heather 
cherished the time with her sons, especially practices and coaching. Spending 
time with family and giving her nieces and nephews a hard time was also a 
favorite thing for Heather to do.  Heather loved spending time with her horses, 
dogs and any animal she could get her hands on.  People will always remember 
Heather's ready smile and her big hugs. 

She will be dearly missed by all and is survived by: sons Colten Webber and 
Casey Henney, parents Brent (Pam) Mitchell, siblings Chris (Niccole) Mitchell, 
Jennifer (Charles) Everitt, Angela (Westley) Wise, nieces and nephews Trenton, 
Taylor, Kaila, Korin Mitchell, Charlie and Alivia Everitt, Leyton and Elsa 
Wise, grandparents Don(Barb) Patrick along with many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and 
numerous friends.  Heather was preceded in death by: grandparents Forrest 
(Verna) Mitchell, Aunt Pam Gauld and Uncle Ian Gauld. 

Funeral services took place at the Kilpatrick United Brethren Church 10005 E. 
Barnum Rd, Woodland MI, 48897 on Friday May, 30, 2014.  Interment took place 
immediately following at Woodland Memorial Park.  Donations to help with final 
expenses would be appreciated.  Arrangements made by Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake 
Odessa.
