Daily Sentinel-Standard - Monday, June 20, 1938

Funeral services for Edward Henshaw, 61, will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 
from the Myers funeral home on East Main street, with burial at Oak Hill 
cemetery, Grand Rapids, by his mother's side. Mr. Henshaw died late Saturday at 
the Ionia community hospital where he had been taken two weeks ago. 

Mr. Henshaw, an employee of the Ionia Pottery company for 30 years, was 
unmarried and efforts to find two distant and long-unseen relatives when his 
condition became critical Saturday were unavailing.

Friends with some difficulty elicited the information from him that a cousin, 
Bruce Thompson, of Chicago, and a nephew, William Peck, of Grand Rapids, were 
his closest relatives but were unable to get in touch with them before he died. 

He was a member of the Ionia Lodge of Odd Fellows, which he joined February 6, 
1911. For a number of years he made his home at the Central House, and in 
recent years has lived at the Plaza hotel.
