The Belding Banner, Thursday, April 7, 1960


Alvin Heppe, 42, of 611 Hubbell Rd., Orleans township, died Friday in Blodgett 
hospital, Grand Rapids where he had been a patient since Wednesday.  He was 
born October 31, 1917, at the present home, the son of George and DeMoure 
Heppe.  He was a farmer and also was employed at the Ionia Manufacturing Co., 
Ionia.

Mr. Heppe was married in 1953 to Kathryn Selleck.  Surviving are his wife, five 
children, Mrs. Thos. Long of Grand Rapids, Gerald, Janet, Russell and Loretta; 
1 grandchild; 3 stepchildren, Harry, Karolyn and Marcia Selleck; his parents, 
Mr. and Mrs. George Heppe of Belding; two sisters, Mrs. Alta Andres of Belding 
and Mrs. Lorna Ehlert of Orleans; one brother, Orval Heppe of Hopkins.  

Funeral services were held at the Boynton Funeral Home in Ionia, Monday 
afternoon with Rev. Alfred P. Miller officiating.  Interment was in Orleans 
cemetery.  Pallbearers were Robert Wise, Phillip Wise, Carl Wise, Vernon Heppe.
