He had been ill for about six years. Coming to Ionia country from Livingston county, Illinois in 1919, Mr. Heppe lived in Orleans and Ronald townships and for the past four and one half years lived with his son. Mrs. Heppe died in 1924. Survivors are five children; Conrad of Ionia, George and Henry of Orleans township; and two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Becker of Livingston county, Illinois, and Mrs. George Moon, Orange township, Ionia County. There are 18 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon November 23, at 2:30 o’clock from the Boynton funeral home on Rich street, Ionia. Interment will be at the Higbee cemetery and Rev. R. A. Rook of St. John’s Lutheran church will officiate. Mr. Heppe came to the United States from Germany in 1885 and was married in 1882. he moved to Chatsworth, Illinois.
