Gerald A. Heppe, 64, of Potterville, died Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the 
Eaton Community Hospice House in Charlotte, after his battle with cancer, with 
his loving family at his side.  Mr. Heppe was born April 23, 1942, in Ionia, 
the son of Alvin John and Ida (Ketner) Heppe. He worked as a tool and die 
setter for General Motors for 33 years until his retirement in 1999. He had a 
great love of fishing, was a big Spartan's fan and was interested in Massey 
Harris tractors.  He loved being with his kids and grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Yolanda (Perez) Heppe; son, Gerald Alvin Heppe II 
(Wendy) of Battle Creek and daughter, Melinda (Jeffrey) Wood of Charlotte; 
adopted daughter, Pilar (Andres) Gonzalez; grandchildren, Devon, Bailey, 
Diedrich and Marissa; mother, Ida Emerson; brothers and sisters, Sandi Long, 
Richard Perry, Russell Heppe, Janet Bowman and Lori Rolison.  He was preceded 
in death by his father, mother-in-law, Hope Perez and stepfather, Robert 
Emerson.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 6, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Pray Funeral 
Home in Charlotte, with Chaplain Don Sleeman officiating. Interment will be at 
West Windsor Cemetery in Dimondale, Michigan.  Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. 
Saturday, November 4, 2006 and 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 
2006.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Eaton Community 
Hospice House or the Breslin Cancer Center. Arrangements by Pray Funeral Home, 
Charlotte.
