Ionia Standard - 11 October 1895
B. F Herbert, a farmer living about 5 miles northwest of town, died at 4 
o'clock this morning, from the effects of a fall received on Thursday of this 
week. While feeding the horses he fell into the manger, hurting his side and 
receiving internal injuries from which inflammation set in, causing his death.  
The funeral is not yet announced.
