Ionia Sentinel Standard, 16 Dec 1957

After being a patient for one day at the Ionia County Memorial hospital, Mrs.
Arletta C. Herbert, 65, of 774 North Cyrus street, Ionia, died Sunday evening at
7:30 at the hospital.  Born a daughter of William and Luella Mayers, March 9,
1892 in Allegan county, she was married to Alfred Herbert, June 9, 1913 in
Kalamazoo.  She was a member of Latter Day Saints church and had lived in the
present home for 39 years.

Survivors are her husband, Alfred; a brother, Walter Mayers of Fenville, and
four sisters, Mrs. Fern Gates of Battle Creek, Mrs. Louise Angel of Canton,
Ohio, Mrs. Agnes Van Buren and Mrs. Marguerite Mitchell of Pontiac; two sons,
Leo and Richard, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Stone-Kauffman
funeral home and interment will be in Highland Park cemetery.
