LAST RITES FOR BERNARD J. HERBERT

Bernard J. Herbert, 68, passed away Monday morning at Pennock Hospital, 
Hastings, where he was hospitalized a week.

He was born April 8, 1903 at Lake Odessa, the son of John and Ella (Elliott) 
Herbert.

He married Mary A Byrans of Hastings in 1929 and was a life long resident and 
retired farmer of the area.

Surviving are his wife; daughter, Mrs Donald (Marilyn) Haney of Lake Odessa; two 
sons, Keith of Ionia and Kendall of Lake Odessa; ten grandchildren and a sister, 
Mrs Cevilla Souder of Hastings.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 1:30 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel 
with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
