Sentinel-Standard - Friday, June 7, 1929

William Herbert, 78, died at his home on Cyrus street Friday morning at 
11:15 after a long illness of heart disease. The funeral services will be 
held Monday afternoon. The services will consist of a prayer service at the 
home at 1:30 and the church services from the Latter Day Saints church, 
State street, at 2 o''clock. This church comparatively new. Mr. Herbert 
helped to build. The interment will be made int he Highland Park cemetery.

Mr. Herbert was born in England, and came to the vicinity of Wayland when he 
was two years of age. He was reared in that vicinity, liver several years in 
Detroit and spent the past seven years in Ionia.

Two sons, William, of Detroit, and Albert, of Ionia, and a daughter, Mrs. 
Mary Jensen of Detroit survive him. He also leaves three brothers, Amos and 
Winn Herbert of Grand Rapids and B. Herbert of Traverse City.
