BOB HERBSTREITH
Lake Odessa, MI -  Bob "Herbie" Herbstreith, age 76, of Lake Odessa, passed away 
suddenly on September 18, 2016 at the Blodgett Campus of Spectrum Health.

He was born on June 23, 1940 to Hale and Anna (Hiher) Herbstreith in Hastings. Bob 
worked as a general labor for GM. On November 11, 1961 he married Shirley Collins at
the Central United Methodist Church in Lake Odessa.

Bob loved to fish and the Woodland Eagles fish fry's at the Woodland Eagles. He was
known as Gramps to many kids from the Lakewood Band Camps. Bob was a fan of the 
Detroit Tigers, Blue chip Casino and bass tournaments with Shirley. The family will
always remember his simple old school ways.

Bob is survived by son, Rob (Cindy) Herbstreith of Niles; daughter, Lisa (Mike)
Dulak of Hastings; seven grandchildren, Erin Jammer, Jason (Nikki) Herbstreith, Ben
(Stephanie Leuenberger) Herbstreith, Brenna Herbstreith, Kris (Melanie) Blocher, Blake 
(Andrea Gault) Blocher, Eli Beck; significant other, Ruth Beck; six great-grandchildren; 
siblings, Dorothy (John) Service, Harry Herbstreith, Leon (Phyllis) Herbstreith, Richard 
(Nancy) Herbstreith, Jack (Jean) Herbstreith, Betty (Bill) Storm, Gail Wallace; along 
with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by wife, Shirley, father, Hale, mother Anna, and sister,
Marie Henge.

Funeral service were held Thursday,Sept. 22, 2016, at the Koops Funeral Chapel, 
Lake Odessa, with Bill Storm officiating.

Burial will take place in Lakeside cemetery-Lake Odessa.
