Hernden, 65, of Lake Odessa, born May 18, 1946 in Me. Clemens, passed away at his home on Nov. 17, 2011. Jack worked in the family business Hernden Trucking as owner of AKM Trucking; served in the U.S. Navy in the Sea Bees during Vietnam; a member of the B&B Gun Club and member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grand Ledge. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kristine; four daughters; Kimberly a. (David) Farris of Roseville, Karrie L. George of Hot Springs, Ark,. Melissa A. (Alan) Goschka of Grand Ledge and Annette K (Richard) Bell of Rockford; nine grandchildren; two brothers, James H (Melda) Hernden of Williamston, S.C. and Thomas L (Judy) Hernden of Macomb, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Harvey and Elvarence Hernden. Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, Nov. 21, 2011 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 517 S. Clinton St., Grand Ledge, MI 48837 with Rev. Richard McKenzie officiating. The family will begin to receive friends at the church at 9 a.m. Monday morning until service time.
