Mrs. Herrick suffered a slight stroke of paralysis in February, but had seemingly entirely recovered from its effect, and on the day previous to the sudden summons was feeling better than she had for a long time past. Thursday, while engaged in doing the family churning, Mrs. Herrick was stricken with neuralgia of the heart and died almost instantly. Deceased is survived by her husband, two sons, Roy Herrick of Grand Rapids and Joseph Herrick of Port Huron; and three daughters, Mrs. Earl Fox and Mrs. C.S. Lake of Wheeling, West Virginia, and Mrs. John Gaunt of this city; all of whom were here to attend the last sad rites. The funeral was held at the late home on Sunday, Rev. W.A. Biss of the Baptist church officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in Otisco Cemetery.
