Ionia Daily Standard, 1 Jun 1891

Harlow Herrick, after several weeks’ suffering, died at the residence of his 
daughter, Mrs. Walter Yeomans, of Ronald, Sunday forenoon.

Mr. Herrick was born in Bridgewater, Herkimer county, N.Y., in 1801, and in 
1825 moved to Lorain county, Ohio, where he married Laura Ann Briggs, who 
survives him at the age of 87.  It is seldom that a husband and wife both reach 
this advanced age.

They came to Michigan in 1865, where they have since resided.  Ten children 
were born to them, of whom six are still living – four daughters and two sons.  
There are seventeen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

The funeral will take place from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Yeomans, 
at 10 o’clock tomorrow morning.  Interment in Oakhill cemetery.
