James E. Herrick, 78, Bushnell township farmer since 1875, died Saturday at the 
home of his brother, State Rep. Walter G. Herrick, near Carson City, after 
suffering a stroke a week ago. His wife died nearly two years ago.

Survivors are a son, Rev. Louis Herrick of Bushnell; one grandson, James 
Herrick; his brother Walter G. Herrick; a sister Mrs. Charles Waggoner of 
Detroit.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon with a prayer service at the 
home of his son in Bushnell at 1:30 o'clock and funeral services at the 
Methodist church in Palo at 2:00 o'clock. Burial will be in Palo cemetery.
