Wilbert F. Hersch, 52, of 6476 Hayes Road, Muir, died Feb. 26 at his residence
after a long illness.  He was born June 16, 1937 in Ypsilanti, the son of
Wilbert and Alice (Webster) Hersch.  He attended Ypsilanti High School.  Hersch
was an Air Force veteran in the Korean War.  He was employed as a pipe fitter
for Chrysler Corporation in Lyons and Gibsons in Greenville.

He married Monica Bierstetel, who survives him, as does his father, Wilbert.  

Other survivors include three sons, Douglas Hersch of Palo, Mark Hersch of Ionia
and Bruce Hersch of Lyons; two brothers, Thomas Hersch of Gaylord and Harry
Hersch of Bellevue; and one sister, Mrs. Ruth Smolarz of Gaylord.  Also
surviving him are six grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place.  Memorial services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m.
at the Hull Memorial Chapel in Muir.  The Rev. Joseph Pettit will officiate. 
Military services will be led by Walter T. Roach of the American Legion Post in
Hubbardston and the Lyons-Muir VFW Post.  Calling will be on Thursday, starting
at 12 p.m.
