Hasting's Reminder - Saturday August 12, 2023

Dr.Kenneth Hershberger

Dr.Kenneth Hershberger, age 85 of Clarksville, MI passed away on Tuesday, August 
8, 2023.

Ken was born on December 8, 1937 to Howard and Ann Hershberger on his family's 
Lake Odessa farm.He was a 1956 graduate of Lake Odessa High School. Ken went on 
to graduate from Ferris Institute in 1960 with a primary degree in pharmacy and 
worked as a retail pharmacist at Braden's Drugstore for three years in Lake 
Odessa before returning to school and graduating from the Chicago College of 
Osteopathic Medicine in 1967.

In 1968 he joined Dr.Bonn's medical practice in Clarksville where he believed 
the secret to a successful Medical practice was you must be available and had 
his office phone ring into his home.Ken was board certified in family practice 
and was a member of the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Physicians and 
Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of 
General Practitioners.

Ken served on the Lakewood Board of education for eight ears and was the 
Lakewood High School football team physician for 12 years. Ken was a lifetime 
member of the Royal Arch Masons.

Ken will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife of 57 years, Margo; five 
children, Tina (Stuart)Saunto, Dina Hershberger, Kara (Tom) Griner, Essie 
(Brian) Potter, Kevin (Ellie) Hershberger; ten grandchildren; nine great-
grandchildren, and sister, Kay Essner.

Ken was preceded in death by is parents and brother Robert.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mel Trotter Ministries or the 
Salvation Army.
