Ionia Sentinel Standard, 3 Jun 1985

Gerald E. Hertig, 66, of Las Vegas, Nev., died at his residence May 30.  Born in
Grand Rapids March 2, 1919, he was the daughter of Frederick and Elizabeth Tower
Hertig.

Surviving are his wife Agatha; a son Stephen of Texas; a grand-daughter; four
sisters, Patricia Eaton and Betty Laughlin, both of Arizona; Louise DeBoer of
Grand Rapids; and Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Haglund of Grand Rapids.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Saranac Cemetery, with Rev.
Kathryn Williams of Zion United Methodist Church, Ionia, officiating. 
Arrangements have been made by Lake Funeral Home, Saranac.
