Ionia Shoppers Guide - Nov. 5, 2011


Helen Hewartson, a long-time resident of Ionia, passed away October 27, 2011 in 
Fort Worth, Texas. Helen was born December 15, 1931 in Ionia to Charles and 
Tula Maroulis. She was a graduate of Ionia High School, and worked for many 
years at GenCorp in Ionia. She married Harold Hewartson in 1953 – he preceded 
her in death.

She is survived by her son David Hewartson and grandchildren Alexandra and 
Clinton of Belding; daughter Lisa Blackwell and husband Mark of Crowley, Texas; 
sister Diana Jones and husband Robert of Ionia; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held a November 11th at 2 pm at Lake Funeral Home in
