Ionia Sentinel Standard, 5 May 1933

William S. Hewitt, born 59 years ago in Campbell township, died Friday morning
at 7 o’clock of influenza and complications.  He had always lived in this
county, and for several years in Saranac.  Funeral services will be conducted
Sunday afternoon at 2:30 in the Clarksville Congregational church, and burial
will be in the Clarksville cemetery.  He leaves his widow, three sons Howard of
Hastings, Carl of Woodland, Ivan of Saranac, and several grandchildren.

[Transcriber’s note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was the
son of William and Mary E. (Whitney) Hewitt.]
