Heydlauff, 89, died Thursday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Everett Derrick of North Plains, where he had made his home for the past 5 years. He had been in ill health for several months. Born 6-12-1853 at Nevada City, California, and at the age of 1 year, came with his parents to Ionia County where he has lived since. He was a threasherman in Ionia County for 48 years. He was married 3-2-1875 to Ida Hicks, who preceded him in death 7-20-1941. Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. Floy Brown, Mrs. Frankie Derrick, one son Fred, one brother Fremont of Washington, a sister Mrs. Benicia Lawrence of Traverse City, also several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon from North Plains Church with Rev. C. A. Brady, pastor of the Church of Christ of Ionia, and burial in North Plains cemetery.
