Ionia Weekly Standard, 14 Jul 1905

Word was received here last Thursday night that Charles Hiar was dead.  He went
to Detroit Tuesday morning to be operated on for strangulated hernia.  The body
was brought to Mullikan Saturday noon.  Funeral services at his home at 2
o’clock and burial in Sebewa cemetery.
