She was born to Sandra and Richard Sproat on October 24, 1971. Sharlene was raised alongside her siblings, Richard, Cindy, Pauline, and Mandy, and was a graduate of Carson City-Crystal High School. Above all things, Sharlene prided herself in being the best mother she could be for her two children, Miranda and Ethan Roberts. She crafted for them the most carefree and love-filled childhood she could, and her children will always remember her efforts for them. Sharlene joined her beloved mother in the Kingdom of Heaven. She is survived by her father, Richard Sproat; her loving siblings, Richard (Betsy) Sproat, Cindy (Michael) McGinn, Pauline (Scott) Whitman, and Mandy (Chad) Sproat; her adoring husband, Andrew Hickok; her two children, Miranda (Gabino) Roberts and Ethan Roberts also remain behind as she prepares our new home in Heaven. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ionia, with Rev. Luis Garcia presiding. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the church. A procession will guide her to her Rite of Committal at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Hubbardston, where she wished to be laid to rest. A Memorial Luncheon will be held for all family members afterward at the hall on the parish property. All are welcome to mourn with the family and also celebrate her life.
