She was born in Easton Township in 1862 and spent the greater part of her life in Ionia County. For the past 18 years, she has lived in Belding. Besides her daughter, she is survived by two grandsons and one sister, Mrs. Mary Russ of Saranac. Funeral services will be held from the home of her daughter in Easton township Saturday afternoon, Nov. 7 at 2 o’clock with Rev. H. S. Ellis of Saranac officiating. Burial will be in the Easton Cemetery. Ionia Sentinel – 10 November 1936: Funeral services for Mrs. Adah Hicks were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Rasmussen Easton Saturday, November 7 at 2 o’clock with Rev. Ellis officiating. Burial was in the family lot in Easton cemetery. Music was furnished by Mrs. Bates and Mrs. Williams. Pallbearers were Ford Rowley, Gerald Stitt, George Hoxie, Ray Bixby, Roy Terry and Noah Bishop. Those from out of town who attended were Mrs. Chester Kellogg, Mrs. Lee Kellogg, Mrs. Anna Kellogg, and Miss E. Peterson of Mt. Pleasant; Mr. and Mrs. Anton Rasmussen and Mr. and Mrs. Al Ludwig of Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Peterson of Greenville.
