Clarabelle (Mary Joann) Hicks, 82, of Belding, passed away Monday morning, May
31, 2010, at Spectrum Health United Hospital in Greenville.  Clarabelle was born
Sept. 14, 1927, in Ionia.  She loved being around children and served as a nanny
for several area families.  She was an active member of Oakwood Christian
Reformed Church in Belding.

Clarabelle was married on Feb. 12, 1977, in Traverse City to George F. Hicks,
and he survives along with her brother, Charles Dickens of Mount Pleasant; her
sister, Gloria Dicken of Tennessee; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces,
great-nephews, her church family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her
parents, Dale and Maude Dickens.

Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home in
Belding.  After visitation, funeral prayers will be offered by Pastor Coleman
Moore.  Interment will be Friday morning at Fort Custer National Cemetery in
Augusta, Mich.  Memorials may be given to the wishes of the family.
