Worden Hicock, 72, for many years a well-known citizen of this community, passed away Tuesday in Royal Oak where he had lived for several years. While in this city he was the well-known vendor of the pop-corn stand, a physical affliction making it hard for him to engage in other employment. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Bernice Rose, of Royal Oak, Mrs. Fay Fiedler of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Winifred O’Connor of Greenville, and Mrs. Geraldine Loveland of this city. Two sons preceded him in death. There are seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Royal Oak and funeral services will be held there this Thursday afternoon. The body will be brought to this city and a service will be held Friday at 11 o’clock at the Fitzjohn Funeral Home with burial in River Ridge cemetery in the family lot, beside his wife and two sons.
