Higbee, 82, of Orleans, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, at Cumberland Manor Nursing Home in Lowell. She was born Nov. 6, 1917, in Orleans, the daughter of Charles and Myrtle Buckley Selleck. Addie was a member of the Vickeryville United Methodist Church. On June 26, 1938, in Lansing, she married Gordon Higbee and he survives, along with their children, Judith (Greg) Hicks of Williamston, Jill Simon-Warner of Orleans, Gary Higbee, Steven (Deb) Higbee, all of Belding. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Hazel Bollinger of Ionia, Ethel Quenby of Lansing, Hattie Tatosian and Sylvia Church both of Florida; three brothers and four sisters-in-law, Cleve (Janette) Selleck of Fremont, Dean (Mable) Selleck of Hastings, Jerry (Celia) Selleck of Ionia and Helen Selleck of Orleans. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, J. B. Selleck and Charles Selleck. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home of Belding with Pastor Larry Nalett officiating. Burial will be in Woodard Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Memorials may be made to Vickeryville United Methodist Church.
