                 HIGBEE

It is with great sadness that the family of Jack Thomas Higbee "Tom" 69 of 
Emmetsburg, Iowa announce his peaceful passing at home on December 23, 2023.

Tom was born to Jack and Phyllis Higbee of Saranac, MI on March 25 1954. He 
attended Saranac elementary and high school graduating in 1972, followed by 
earning his associate degree at Montcalm Community College in 1974.

Being a lover of the outdoors, as a child he spent as much time as possible 
fishing. As he grew older, he began hunting. Bird hunting became a passion of 
his and, only hunting with the Weimaraner breed of dog, of which he owned 
several over the decades of his life.

In 2003, To moved to Hamilton, Montana where he hunted a variety of birds as 
well as in Idaho. 2017 found him living n Emmetsburg, Iowa during the pheasant 
season there.Tom was a happy man when he had his dog(s), his friends to talk to 
and a truck for hunting. His dry sense of humor was appreciated by most.

He was preceded in death by his parents.Surviving are cousins Mike (Roxanne) 
Nelson and Denise (Ken) Peabody, second cousins Kimberly (Bruce) Hoeksema and 
Kevin (Christine)Peabody, dear friends Wendy Johnson, Mary Whalen, Sharon Jensen 
and Janice Miller of Montana, Chris Parker, Julia Rolston, Patty Thompson, Adam 
Riesenberg of Iowa, and Scott Brunk fo Washington, D.C.

Bt request there will be no funeral services. Cremation has taken place with his 
ashes scattered in his favorite hunting grounds in Iowa.
