The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, October 19, 1978

Glen Higgins, 72, passed away Wednesday evening at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital 
in Ann Arbor.  He was born in Keene township May 25, 1906 to the parents of 
Norman and Sarah Lucas Higgins.  He married Jessie Blough on Oct. 6, 1928, who 
preceded him in death in 1961.  He formerly worked for Mitchell Bentley of 
Ionia.

He is survived by one son, Grant Higgins of Saranac; two daughters, Louella 
Hesche of Saranac and Glenna Byrne of Saranac; 11 grandchildren and 3 great 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Roetman Lake Funeral home 
in Saranac with Rev. Merritt officiating.    Interment will be at Easton 
cemetery.  The family will receive friends and relatives 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 
Thursday and Friday evening.
