Clarence (Tunk) Higgins, 59, died suddenly April 24 at 5:30 at his home at 319 
Putney St.  He had worked all day at Gibson’s as a stock chaser, where he had 
worked for 20 years.  

He was born in Easton Township, Ionia County, October 13, 1901 and had lived in 
the county all of his life.  He had lived here 26 years.  He was a member of 
Belding U.A.W. C.I.O.  

He was married to Hazel C. Harrington June 25, in this city and she survives. 
Other survivors are one son Clarence (Spike) Higgins of this city and one 
sister, Mrs. Harriett Brownell, of Ionia and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Huffman Funeral Home 
with Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating and the burial will be in River Ridge 
cemetery.
