Higgins, 51, of 930 Kenwood Street, died unexpectedly at his home Tuesday morning. Mr. Higgins was born March 21, 1917 at Belding. He had been a lifetime resident of Belding. Mr. Higgins was a draftsman with Stainless Products and a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints. He was married to the former Virginia M. Hall at Muskegon October 16, 1937. She survives. Other survivors include his mother Mrs. Hazel VanDusen of Belding, one daughter Mrs. Leo (Eleanor) Kelly of Owosso, two sons Richard M. of Clearwater, Florida and John W. of Belding. One sister Mrs. Roy (Joyce) Stewart of Belding, two half sisters, Mrs. Fred (Gladys)Bradford of Belding and Mrs. Daniel (Beverley) Bauman of Westerville, Ohio, one half-brother Wilford Brown of Belding, and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Huffman Funeral Home with Elder Varian Bauman of Greenville officiating. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memory Gardens.
