The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, July 27, 1961
Mrs. Jessie M. Higgins, 54, died at Blodgett hospital in Grand Rapids 
Wednesday after an illness of three weeks.  She was born February 27, 1907.  
Surviving are her husband Glen Higgins of route two, Saranac; a son, Grant of 
Saranac; two daughters, Mrs. Darrell Hesche of Lowell and Mrs. Raymond Byrne 
of Saranac; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Fred Blough of Saranac, Louis 
Blough of Lowell, Phillip Blough of Grass Lake, and Andrew Blough of Dundee; 
three sisters, Mrs. Edith Shattuck of Battle Creek, Mrs. Beatrice Arntz of 
Ionia, and Mrs. Hilda Drake of Ypsilanti.

Service will be at Morris funeral home Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. 
John Yorworth of Grand Rapids officiating.  Burial will be at Easton cemetery.
