Ionia Sentinel Standard, 13 Mar 1950

Mrs. Janie E. Higgins, 69, died Saturday, March 11, at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. James Moore, of Indianapolis, Ind., after a lingering illness.  She was
born in Montcalm county February 22, 1881.  She and her husband moved from Grand
Rapids to their Ronald township farm in March, 1918, where he died January 6, 1949.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Cobb of Kansas City, Kas., and Mrs.
Moore of Indianapolis; one son, Carl, of Ronald township; and four
grandchildren, Ruth Ann Cobb, Jane and Richard Moore and Denny Higgins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Myers funeral home with Dr.
Howard A. Smith officiating.  Interment will be in North Plains cemetery.
