The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, August 11, 1998

Mrs. GeorgiaLee Higley, 79, of Ionia, passed away Monday, Aug. 10, 1998 at the 
Heartland Health Care Center in Ionia.  She was born in Shiloh, Mich., the 
daughter of H. T. and Bernice (Gaymer)Green on Dec. 18, 1918.  She was an 
active member of the Zion United Methodist Church, and GeorgiaLee taught 
Sunday school for several years.

Surviving are three daughters, Cheryl (Gordon) Dennis of Ionia, Charlene 
(Roger) Van Dam of Jenison and Norine (Richard) Challender of Saranac.  Also 
surviving are seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one sister, 
Marion Rountree of Ionia.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, in 
February 1989.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Zion United 
Methodist Church, Ionia, with her pastor, the Rev. Craig Adams, officiating.  
Interment in Balcom Cemetery.  Visiting hours are today 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 
p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Ionia.  Memorial contributions can 
be made to the Zion United Methodist Church, Memorial Fund in care of Cook 
Funeral Home.
