Ionia Sentinel Standard, 11 May 1993

Gladys M. Hilborn, 93, of Ionia, died at Ionia County Memorial Hospital April
28.  She was born January 13, 1900, in Paulding County, Ohio, the daughter of
Thomas B. and Hannah King Richards.  She moved to Upper Michigan in 1911, and
came to Ionia in 1918.  She married Milo E. Miller, on December 25, 1918, in
Comins.  He preceded her in death in September, 1944.  She then married Ormison
Hilborn on October 15, 1946, in Ionia.  He preceded her in death in November of
1967.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ionia, and the C.C.W.
Sunday school class of the church.  She had been employed at the Reed Co. in
Ionia for many years.

She is survived by two sons, Elmer R. Miller of Ionia and Vernon Miller of
Grayling; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and
nephews.  She was preceded in death by three daughters, Norma Trierweiler, Joan
and Jean Miller.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Cook Funeral Home, with the
Rev. James Bennett officiating.  Burial will be in the Easton Cemetery.  The
family will be at the Rich Street Chapel from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday. 
Memorials have been established for the First Baptist Church and the Ionia
County Commission on Aging, in care of the funeral home.
