Lake Odessa Wave, 30 Jul 1942

Word was received here last Thursday of the sudden death of Mrs. Grace Tolles 
Hildinger of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, but formerly one of a family well known 
in Lake Odessa.

About 12 years ago Mrs. Hildinger was stricken with a stroke of paralysis and 
had recovered to the extent that she was apparently well but never quite 
regained the buoyancy that was natural to her.

Thursday morning she was taken with another stroke and taken to the hospital 
where she died about 1 o’clock the same day.

The funeral was held Saturday afternoon in Cleveland.  Mrs. Gottlieb Kussmaul, 
a sister-in-law, and Mrs. David Smith, a cousin, left Saturday morning going by 
way of Lasing where they picked up Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hildinger, a brother.  
Others attending from here or of the family were Mr. and Mrs. Allison Toles, a 
brother of Hastings, and her brother Roy of Chicago.  Burial was at Cleveland, 
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son Roy and her mother Mrs. Arthur E. 
Tolles who lives in the family.
