Rogers was born in Cayuga Co., N. Y., May 16, 1858. In 1865 her family came to Mich., making their home in Milwaukee and then to Berlin. On Christmas day 1877 she was united in marriage to Milton H. Hile of Easton. The new home was started in Easton then changed to Berlin. Here a son was born Wesley F. Then came moves to Big Rapids, back to Easton and finally a permanent home was made in Berlin. In this place during the past ten years Mrs.Hile has lived and wrought in church and home, filling a large place in both. On March 6, very peacefully she left this busy, strenuous life for one where lacking care is never known. Very appropriately Dr. Louis Delamarter, presiding elder of Lansing Dist. chose this text: “Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.” Her husband son and three sisters are left to mourn her death as well as many friends to whom she had endeared herself. CARD OF THANKS: We hereby desire to express our thanks for the kindly ministrations of friends and neighbors in our recent bereavement. We particularly wish to thank those who aided by their singing, and those who offered their services in other ways. M. H.
