He was struck a mile west of that city where he was taken by the trainmen and examined by Dr. Morgan who pronounced him badly bruises but not fatally injured. He was taken to his home near Stanton Junction on the 5 o'clock train on a stretcher by the superintendent of the poor. August 16, 1894 Willis Hile, who was struck by a D., L. & N. train near Greenville last week, died at about 11 o'clock Sunday night. The funeral was held at Stanton Junction Mon-morning.
